Hi Doc, I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful outcome to the procedure on Saturday. The quick return of clarity to my vision amazed me. I know it is what you do and the outcome is almost an expectation, but I feel so pleased at being able to see so clearly again that I felt it would only be appropriate that I express my joy and gratitude to you for the work that you did.
Thank you!
Yours sincerely, Jim Hallowes
Good day Dr. Novis, When we were leaving your practice on Monday after seeing you for consultation and treatment the receptionist informed us that Transmed was not paying for the treatment because we didn't go to a government hospital. She said you did the treatment free of charge.
This is to say Thank you for your kindness towards my grandmother Kotie Vosloo. They both wanted me to extend their gratitude towards you for your kindness towards them. And I want to Thank you from my side .... You have restored my faith in humankind.
Have a wonderful afternoon.
Thank you kindly

Hello, dear Dr
Just to let you know that I am from the Optometrics. After explaining everything and doing some tests, he told me that so far there is no need of glasses. He was about to give me a medication, but when I have shown him your last prescription, I have not yet buy, because I decided to see him first, he said is better to continue with TOBRADEX for 4 or 5 days as you asked me. After that, if I still feel bad, I can go back to him. He knows you very well and respect you (your work and skills). Many people appreciate you. Then, thank you for the service you do for all of us. We promise you our Prayers.
Regards.
Friar Benoit
Dear Clive, Thank you most sincerely for your sound advice and the time you devoted to replying to my diatribe. Your kindness is deeply appreciated.
Kind regards
And best wishes,
Shirley
Dear Doctor Novis
I would like to thank you for taking time to see Raisa whilst your practice was closed. She was experiencing a lot of pain and we were not sure that you would see us. We are grateful that you took the time to see us and your humanity and dedication speaks volumes about you. Once again kindly accept our heartfelt thanks. Doctor Novis you are rare species in our time.
We wish you a merry Christmas and prosperous New year.
From Raisa Hoorzook and family

Hi Dr. Novis
You were kind enough to fit me in for LASIK in July this year when I was in SA.
My brother, Colin Hinton, put me onto you and arranged the initial assessment at your rooms in Benoni.
I just wanted to let you know how delighted I am with the procedure. It is difficult to short list my favourite outcomes but here goes:
*Being able to see clearly first thing when I open my eyes in the morning, without having to scratch around for my glasses.
*Reading in bed and falling asleep without having to take off my glasses .
*Tennis is a delight again and my game has improved because my glasses aren't sliding down my sweaty nose.
*Swimming in the ocean is a joy because I can see when the next big wave is coming.
*I am able to wear my Rayban sunglasses again after may years in their case
Too many others to list J
It took me a while to adjust to driving at night. The lights were a challenge. I think it was almost three months before night driving was absolutely clear but I new about this as it was listed as a precaution in the handouts.
My night vision is now normal. At times as the sun is setting/dusk I do notice it takes time to adjust to the light changing.
I have also noticed the glare of the Australian sun is pretty harsh now and that is why I am enjoying my Raybans!
My niece Siobhan Hinton is scheduled to see you when she visits SA later this month. I hope she is a candidate for LASIK as I should have done it 20 years ago!
Thank-you for your wonderful care.
Kind regards
Joanie
